Arbitrage Rebate Calculation Services
IMET offers Arbitrage Rebate Calculation Services (ARCS) through an agreement with Arbitrage Rebate Counselors, LLC. ARCS are available to all IMET participants that issue debt and may incur a liability under the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations.
Arbitrage Rebate Counselors has provided arbitrage rebate services since 1996 when the firm was founded. Arbitrage Rebate Counselors specializes exclusively in arbitrage regulations compliance for tax-exempt bonds. The firm has extensive experience in local government finance, serving townships, municipal utilities, cities, counties, school districts, local agencies and special districts. To date, Arbitrage Rebate Counselors has completed over 2,000 rebate engagements totaling over $15 billion of bond proceeds.
IMET participants benefit of the ARC Services at NO charge to the participant.
John C. Rogers is the President of the firm and will serve as IMET’s primary contact. He has over 30 years of experience in the public finance industry. Prior to founding Arbitrage Rebate Counselors in 1996, he worked as a public finance investment banker as well as a financial advisor. He has completed arbitrage calculations for virtually every sector of the public finance industry, including local governments, counties, water and sewer districts, school districts, hospitals, senior care providers, housing, charter schools, social services, airports, and colleges and universities.
